What is a Naturopathic doctor?

Naturopathic doctors (NDs) diagnose, prevent, and treat acute and chronic illness.

Naturopathic doctors focus on identifying and treating the root cause of health conditions using the most gentle and non-invasive options available.

How are Naturopathic doctors trained?

Naturopathic doctors are trained as primary care physicians. They complete a four-year medical school curriculum that includes all the same basic sciences and biomedical and diagnostic sciences as conventional medical school programs. In addition, NDs complete training in nutritional counseling, botanical medicine, psychology and counseling, homeopathic medicine, and physical medicine.
